I wanted to take the time to send you a quick update about my new life in Korea.
Overall, my first month has been amazing. The school is very organized and I am getting to know my students very well! There was a lot to learn at first, but I settled in pretty quickly.
All the teachers are so nice. Eddie Teacher, Mr. Yoon’s nephew, takes us out on tours and adventures on the weekends sometimes. We have been hiking and kayaking and he is even taking us white water rafting and to the DMZ! He has made my transition here so much easier. He even drove me to the hospital for my medical check and drove me to the immigration office to get my alien card. All the teachers are so nice and helpful.
We even have the chance to go out with the Korean teachers sometimes! They took us to the Flower Market in Yangjae and to a Japanese restaurant. The foreign teachers are all so nice too. Surprisingly, I am not the newest teacher. We have a brand new teachers from NY. We have a vacation in August so a couple of the foreign teachers and I are planning on exploring Busan and 5 days.
I am having so much fun here both teaching and exploring. I cannot thank you enough for all your help.
